One Year Membership

Membership dues contribute to the Guild’s general operating expenses as well as advertising expenses and
sponsored educational programs. The Guild is operated solely by the generosity and volunteer spirit of its
members. There are no paid staff members.
There are several types of membership.. Annual Single. Family membership is for two (2) persons in the same
household. Junior membership is for high school aged students. All members are expected to attend the annual
meeting (held in November) for the election of officers and directors.
Please choose your annual membership type (check one (1):
____ Annual Membership is $300. Completion of ten (10) days (equivalent to 70 hours) of Shop Duty and service
(including 2 Saturdays) Member will receive $100.00 rebate/refund for fulfillment. 35 hours will receive $50.00
____ Annual Family Membership for two (2) persons is $400. Completion of twenty (20) days (equivalent to 140
hours) of Shop Duty and service (including 4 Saturdays). Family will receive $100.00 rebate/refund for
fulfillment of Shop Duty & service. 70 Hours will receive $50.00
____ Junior Members (high school aged students) with pledge to volunteer 5 days service at special events $75.
Guild members are also required to actively serve on a committee. Please indicate below at least three (3)
committee(s) that interest you. One will be assigned to you. Tell us your strengths?
____ Jury & Exhibition Committees for Fine Art, Photography & Crafts – responsible for displays & in house exhibits.
____ Publicity & Public Relations– advertise events & activities and increase visibility within the community.
____ Buildings & Grounds – performs maintenance of “Guild House” and property.
____ Programs – helps with Guild show events, programs, workshops & classes, receptions, etc.
____ Membership – solicits new membership in the Guild and new Vendors for show events.
____ Personnel – Cashier and/or Helper in Guild Store.
____ Fundraising – develops fundraising projects, writes and submits grant applications on behalf of the Guild.
____ Computer/Website – maintains the Guild’s website, online store, social media pages, Design Flyer & Brochures
computer equipment and software.

Applications for NEW Membership must be accompanied by samples of artwork to be juried by the Art Exhibition
committee chairs. Describe the three (3) pieces you are submitting:

Artwork may be brought to the Guild by appointment along with this application and a check made payable
to: The Old Town Arts & Crafts Guild, Inc. Receipts will be given for artwork that is left at the Guild.
In signing this application for membership, the applicant attests to the following:
I agree to follow the rules, regulations and policies of The Old Town Arts & Crafts Guild, Inc.
I understand that I am solely responsible and liable for my person and property at all times and The Old Town Arts &
Crafts Guild, Inc. will not be liable for any damage, threat or injury to my person or property.
• I understand the Guild takes no commission on sales made at shows outside the Guild. Members sales through the Guild
will be split 70% for members and 30% for the Guild. Sales made through the online store will be split 60% for members
and 40% for the Guild. The Guild collects and pays NYS sales tax on items sold through the Guild.
• I understand Members receive 10% off purchases & pay 1/2 fee when participating in shows sponsored by the Guild.
